Sad part is that whoever buys it will probably have no intention of having it on the road, so it will sit in isolation and be viewed by very few people. A rather sad ending to a really solid motor platform that carried MoCo thru some difficult years.

Definitely is worth a higher than usual asking price (IMO) because it is in pristine condition. The 3 miles on the odometer means the gaskets and fluids will all need to be changed out quickly if it is going to be on the road.

WANTED: Harley Davidson 1984 FLHX Special Edition "Tribute to the King" brochure. When Harley was producing the FLHX Special Edition, they released a brochure that pictured both the birch white and black models, speaking to the END of an era. The brochure pictured a quill pen (I think) writing an epitaph to last of the shovelheads and it was entitled "Tribute to the King." The brochures were sent out to HOG members at the time and it was accompanied by a letter explaining the last of the Shovelhead 4 spd baggers.
Would REALLY APPECIATE finding one of these!!
