Default Replacing cam cover

Dose anyone know what the best gasket cinch to use when replacing the cam cover on a shovel? i have a 79 and I think I boogered up the cover where the cam oil seal go's so I just bought a new chrome one, ive tried to watch videos like tatro and others but they never name what they are using, I saw that tatro was using a can of gasket cinch with a brush attached to the lid, then I tried to find it on eBay and it had gasket cinch with different numbers on the can, so I'm trying to find out if anyone knows or if it matters, also a new cam seal came with the cam cover, so I can install it with the cam cover laying flat, which I think will make it easier, also dose anyone know if I need to put oil or lube on the OD of the cam oil seal when I install it? and if so, what kind of lube or oil? I know I have to on the inside rubber part next to the cam shaft any help would be appreciated.

cometic AMF gaskets are sprayed foam over a thin alloy center - that form fits and fills imperfections - they also have what everyone except them in a paper

Gasket cinch from Auto Zone is what I used. It's blood red though so don't get sloppy.
