Keep in mind, with a frame mounted seat, the driver is sitting in about the same place the passenger is sitting in this picture. I agree, this is what the MoCo thought worked way back when, but unfortunately no reality for most. Check out his feet, behind his knees, that would be comfortable for about 0 minutes. Must have been the MOCO's response to Honda's "You meet the nicest people on a Honda" ad campaign. What is interesting is that handbook was full of information to maintain the bike. Chain adjustment, brake adjustment, ignition timing, carburetor adjustment etc. These must have been skills possessed by the average rider of the era. I don't think your average twinkie rider knows how to put air in the tires. Probably takes it into the dealership for that.

 

I thought my twinkie had "air for life" tires!
