So an honest verdict, maybe from your wife.
B- what did you do for pegs? I have a bolt on set, kind of OK, then I got those frame mounted floor boards. She likes them, I hate them. Always hitting the backs of my leg, and no good with a kick start.

Asking for a friend!!!!!
At the time I only owned a chopped 52 and my 65. She likes being on the back so it was a matter of accepting it + the fact that she had only been on the back of a couple Jap bikes that were the go fast type with almost no passenger seating area. The 65 covered everything east of the Rockies, so for long trips she was on the 65. The pad would start to get at the back of her legs after a couple hundred miles (generally we only covered about 500/day and it was all 2-lane blacktop so speed wasn't an issue). Initially she stretched her legs to reach the stock footpegs. To alleviate the stretch I had my dad weld some extensions on an extra set I had kicking around. Looked like $hit but worked well (or so she said). And to ensure they would reach I rotated them about 10-15 degrees back from top center. Made the use of the kicker a no-go cuz the angle interfered with my boots.

We're old Now... so this is My Bitter half's seat

This is the Best seat for her on a 4-speed

But we have put more miles on the '82 FXR stock seat than either!!!! The 4 speed being a very close 2nd..

BTW the Passenger peg mounting "lugs" have been added to the '74. and I mounted the Pegs reaching forward VS backward. to get her feet where she wanted them...

When I ride solo... I slip a Solo seat on whatever...

None of which solves the Pogo Problem... We either used it as Designed... or [when we grew a bit ] went frame mounted...

What brand of seat is that on the FLH? Does it position the rider back in comparison to the stock seat? Thanks Racepres.

Thanks... The Wif absolutely had to Have it!!!!
Pretty Fun Outfit... and the Seat suits her rather well....

She is Done Proving anything... as years ago, we made a 100 mile trip [one way] to a 100 mile Poker run... On a '77 Ironhead!!!!!
Then we had an extended "journey" on an old clapped out '80 FXWG...
Once she discovered that I had [hidden] the FXR.... well.... That ended the "torture"... For her... It was the Beginning for Me!!!!!
