Default Need a shorter kickstand spring

So...my 72 FLH wears a dual disc Wide Glide front end which is 4 inches over stock. The bike sat wayyyy too low on the stand so I got a kickstand wedge, turned it upside down to lower the kickstand and now it sits on the side stand perfectly. But now the spring isn’t tight enough to pull the kickstand in all the way in, so the kickstand is kinda flopping around. Not good, especially with a brand new primary cover. Any suggestions? The current spring is 3.4 inches.

for we have extended the loop at the bracket stay for the spring towards the front, till you get the right taunt we make a try angle, I don't have one as its been years we don't do anymore what you now have on original pieces - the other option I like is removing the stay on the stand its self, and welding it lower to get the thing to work as it was - then we would just re chrome it

Yeah, I was thinking about moving the the attachment on the stand point on the stand. Might have to try that.

If you are friendly with your local dealership, bring the spring to the parts counter and have the guy look around in his bins to see if he has one that is shorter. Based on your custom installation, doesn't matter what it is from as long as it is shorter.

My local Ace Hardware also has a good selection of springs.
