Wow, very nice 80!
Lots of folks don't realize that Ironheads were built before Shovelheads..
1957 first year for Irons,1966 for Shovels.

Very nice Shovel also. Ill bet Your Brother had a bit of a hard time keeping up with Your Ironhead.
Bike was only 8 years old when we bought it (three of us kicked in $600 each), came with the brown seat to match the tins. My brother compounded off the "AMF" logo, an AMF bike was still a sin in those days.

My father's (grandfather's) house is on the far left. Double wythe brick walls, 3x10 floor joists, lath and plaster walls, they were monsters made to last for sure.

Sporty was sold to buy a new '91, which I still have, my brother has never moved on, still his one and only bike which he still rides regularly. He got sucked into the KID trap, I hear they are expensive!!!!!

already priceless Sportster...if a Grandson of Yours also raced it...wow.

Special meanings and all that...??
Hmmmm, That is the bike I was riding when I met his Mom... more than 30 some Years ago!!!
That is the Bike I rode to my First National Event Win...1990 or maybe it was '91... I will have to look as that was before my "unfortunate incident" which kind of Rattled me... Mixed my nuts so to speak...LOL
Hell...I din't give it any Thought when he won that event...until one of my Racing Family, said that it was cool he did it on the same Bike I used for my first...I reminded him... I believe it was on the same Tires... then I was kind of an ***-Hat for that one... LOL

I do Think that there are Videos of some neat stuff related to our racing endeavors...
Sure gotta Dig... I would also Like a Video of him doing the deed...as I was not really able to Spectate, I was Working the Event.. I am Sure his mom witnessed it tho...as she works in the Tower!!!
Maybe I can come up with something.... Now that ya mention it...

When we bought her she had a chrome oil tank but no cover. I bought the cover from the DEALERSHIP of all places, back in the chrome exchange days. NYC HD on Northern Boulevard. But to check the oil you had to take the cover off, and the bolt was right next to the rear pipe. So the cover was rarely on the bike, just too much of a PITA. Not too many other pics of that bike around, my brother has a stash from the Easyrider Rodeo in Stafford Springs, but most of those are NSFW or forum!!!!

KID trap = children - I hear THEY are expensive
