Nice... That ThunderHeader really belongs there.... Very nice....

Question: Are the front tubes longer than that of a SuperGlide Front end?

I think so because the low rider was extended tubes maybe the same size

From what we read on the sales brochures... all of the "Low Rider" group utilized longer tubes.. slightly affecting the rake/trail. from a SuperGlide..[BTW, FXWG same same]...
Beautiful ride... and the Thunderheader is a Performer without equal [in the old days anyway] I still like the Look of the original heavy *** Exhaust.. But only ther Look... Nothing else about it is "good"

Hey Pat- nice job and a great looking machine! Would you be able to provide a part number on the handlebars? I’m doing the same thing on my ‘78 fxs. It has the buckhorns on it now. Thanks

Always liked that particular bike and I’ve never been a big FX series fan.

Nicely done partner, very nicely done.

Great job Pat. I bought a 1980 Sturgis brand new in 1980. It was my first HD.i sold because I needed the money in 1988 with 60000 miles. I just got it back a month ago. it has 101000 miles on it now. I will be restoring it this winter but for now im going to fix the brakes and ride it a little. Thanks for sharing your Stugis
