Default Next problem: Carburetor

71 FLH used a kit from Drag and nothing was right . Looking around I believe there is a 38mm and a 40mm .
Number on my carb is 27152-71
and the kits are for 27132-71
I believe my indy got me the wrong kit but I am unable to find one for my number carb.
Any help appreciated

the rebuild kit for the bendix zenith carb comes in two flavors. One is imported, the other, more expensive kit is made in the USA. You want the made in USA kit. The last time I looked, you could get either kit from any of the taiwan ted parts dealers. I've heard that the accelerator pump in the imported kit is the wrong length.

Thanks Guys . I'll have to look for an American made kit. Gaskets didn't fit right , were the wrong size , Acc. pump leather was cut crooked and much too large and idle screw was boogered on the end. All in all the Drag kit was crap.

Mixed up old and new this am. Shes running alright. Just have to revisit the valve adjustment.
