Back to the 82 and trying different fender ideas. The problem with having it sit in this state for so long (yes that's my fault) I get different ideas. Its an OEM 08 up night train rear fender that remains true to the fact the bike is a wide glide. This fender would be a starting point for a bobbed fender if I decide to work with it.

I put on longer rear shocks (came off my 66) because even though it looked cool slammed down the reality is Im 6'2" and it would look like Im riding a pocket bike plus it'll probably ride better at this height.

I want to run an antigravity battery that I can hide below the swingarm pivot and possibly a slim oil tank on the rear fender to make the bike look as basic as possible if it remains naked.

The arm is not upside down.

Thought about a horse shoe tank but I don't want that.

Fine, I went back to my original idea and I like it best. Looks better in black for the moment just to make it one color with the tank and the ride height is more realistic. I still like the idea of a liquid metal paint, like mercury or something.

Did you use the Harley brand wrinkle engine paint? Or VHT? Other than cleaning / degreasing, what did the prep process consist of? Run in to any issues?
