a good driving combo is 23 front with the 51 rear its not the best but if you are a back road kind of rider it works well - stock front was 22 so its around 300 RPMs what that comes out to be is 2700 the engine is happy at a good cruse speed , at 3000 they sound like its working real hard, and the 23 does that at a good cruse speed
always a but an o ring chain being bigger and a low bike - the primary gets chewed as well as the starter housing
disc brake lets you drop the rear sprocket size and the angle becomes better then more road speed for hi way riding
belt drive primary allows bigger front even 25 tooth with the drum < bobbers today 3 quart gas tank verses making it to the next gas station

Didn't consider that, surprised you even suggested it to be honest. I figure I would need to shorten the cowbells (if I use them) to clear the fender mount bosses on compression - no Im not running a front fender but the bosses will remain.
