Thats one of the reasons I plan to move the light forward. Tire clearance is on my mind the entire time.

I have another idea for the rear light....

You'd have to get it far enough forward so it's beyond the arc of the wheel, then I'm not sure how visible the light will be. More likely to light up the ground rather than be bright enough to alert someone behind you.

Thought about making something like a light pipe? Double up the shell over the rear wheel and polish the interior so that all the light output is directed out the back. Might have to put a clear lens over the end to keep it clean. This way you get better output and if the tire does bottom out, its just hitting the inside of the fender.

Just thinking out loud here.

Could have 3 chambers. Red center and amber on the outside for turn signals. The light source could be LED bulbs in standard sockets accessible from under the seat.

Might be crazy, but it sure would be f'in cool

The other thought I had was fibre optics so the light source is elsewhere.

That would work too, but good connection/termination of the fiber could be difficult.

It doesn't have signals incorporated into it so old school bullet lights on the swingarm are most likely the path I go, integral in the headlight though.

That LED light ...what about mounting it above your rear fending and having a bit of a rise at the rear fender with the tailight incorporated into the rise. Wouldn't be much and sure wouldn't take away from the looks + it would keep the low profile of the fender to the tire and you wouldn't have to worry about the light rubbing against the tire.

Old school bullets lights....like these?

or these...

Yes the top ones in red is what I was thinking. They say guide on the glass lens.

Ill think about the fender idea, it means the other style fender I drew a pic of in the previous page.

Drum is powder coated with the sprocket spacer in there, looks stock.

That spacer is slick, no one will notice that.
