Good!

Im curious about the reviews as well. Im wanting Metzlers 888's on mine and Ill admit its the tread pattern that I like first. Wont be riding in the rain and just for short blasts around town so maybe overkill because I think they are geared towards heavier touring bikes.

I have the Shinko 240's on my Shovel, look great. Good review stops there, unfortunately they seem to suck as tires. No one else seems to make a double white wall so for now I am dealing with them. Get a nice wobble side to side above 55 MPH. Trying to get Shinko to give me a PSI recommendation. They want me to run 41 PSI but then the wobble gets down right scary. Experienced rider/mechanic rode my bike, his opinion was that the tires pushed in the corners and were junk.

They will likely not make the season. Sucks because they really make the look of the bike. Wish I had a better review for you. I also wish a had a recommendation for a tire that looks the part but also acts like a modern tire. Compromises.

The book says 20 in the front and 26 in the rear, riding 2 up. Bike likes that setup. China told me to run 41, I tried 35 PSI front and back and almost dumped the bike on I-95 in Florida at about 65 MPH!!! Wobble got crazy, had to back her down to 50 MPH just to get off the interstate.

Due to this thread I contacted Shinko yesterday, they actually think I might have a bad tire that may be out of round, go figure. Pursuing a free replacement, we will see how that works out.

stay far far away from the Chinese tires. stick with a known brand, the shenkos are horrible. any avon, metzler, dunlop, michelin or major supplier will give you better performance. consider the cost of labor to replace tires, and what happens if a front tire fails, and the cost savings for Chinese tires realty isn't worth the risk.

very cool bike by the way. good luck with it. just don't cheap out on tires, or brake parts.

I have ordered all the cables and brake lines. I haven't gotten any new tires yet. I need another paycheck or two. Anyway, I hope to have it up and running soon.

Here is my question. The bike has been sitting upright on the lift for a few months now and hasn't run and I have had no oil leaks. The other day I rotated the engine a few times with the kickstart to set the static timing and ever since it has had oil leaking pretty bad out the crankcase breather. What is going on with that?
