I figured id start with some fun stuff so i orderd some 16" apes, new hand control parts (just because these are pretty ugly) and some other basic stuff like like speedo rubber and brake dust cover boot.

I have removed a bunch of the rusty parts and some of the rusty parts I just took off hit with a "softish" wire wheel on the bench grinder and they look a lot better

tbonetony-- I bought this to have a project so Im cool with this bike.
Anyway, its always going to be a grungy beast and i like it that way.

The jets are 64 and 295. And it wasn't too nasty really. There was some gunk around the tiny ball bearing. The inside of the tiny blue orings seem alittle messed up. This diapham piece piece looks pretty bad. I would assume it needs replaced. I'm not sure how strong the little spring is sopposevtonbe but it seems very soft.

spring is very light and what your showing is a common item to happen

when you install the acc pump in the bowl bottom - put the rod in the hole and use some kind of fluid I use the engine wash tank stuff as its spotless, and pump the rod up and down, you want the brass sprayer tip to fan out when pumping it, not a stream - if its a stream its partly clogged clean it till it fans - compressed air is your friend and don't forget to put the small blue o ring in the top of the sprayer before putting the bowl back on

the 64 is on the lean side usually 68 is more the number but we are at sea level to 1200 feet so I don't know what the air is like by you

what plug are you talking about - if its the vent plug in the carb front behind the air filter some machines do run better with out it
