ummmm.... it sounds like the problem might be easier than all this. have you filled your gas tanks since you started riding?? 200 some odd miles sounds like about a tanks worth of riding. the top end sounds tend to echo in empty gas tanks, my engine sounds noisy as hell when my gas is almost empty, but when full, nice and somewhat quiet.

jmetro has a point.&nbsp\\; You dont notice it if you run with a 3 gallon tank but you do with a 5 gallon.&nbsp\\; When my tank get down to a quarter&nbsp\\;gas left&nbsp\\;I hear lots of nosies I cant when the tanks full.

May also be timing knock.&nbsp\\; If you did top off your tank with a low octane gas your shovel will tell you not to do that.&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\; Even if you used the good stuff, your timing plate could have loosened a little so your timing is too far advanced.&nbsp\\; Something to check anyway.
