Default 2012 CVO Road Glide Audio

Question for my fellow CVO Road Glide riders...

Does your audio seem to go "tinny" at speed? I don't seem to hear the larger speakers on the outside, just the little tweeters on the inside.

When I get off my bike and listen, I can hear the outer speakers. Bass and Treble are "neutral."

Just me or does anyone else think the same.

If you can't hear the 5x7's at speed then something isn't right. Connections, blown, something. Mine rock at speed, just need to bump the bass down to get sound crisper. I'd have that checked out.

Can't give an honest answer to the fact that my exhaust is too loud. The wife says it sounds good though on the back seat. I have found myself pumping up the bass more but my normal highway speeds are anywhere from 75 to "damn that coulda been a huge ticket". I think windshields will also play a difference. With the KW I had on mine I had a lot more wind noise. Back to the ugly stock one until I can find a better one come spring time.

i had to adjust the base on mine. i am running the stock windshield, i have changed the exhaust to no cat and re-cored mufflers. anything over 85, i just turn the radio off, can't hear it anyway due to wind and exhaust noise besides at those speeds and higher, i am focusing on the road not the music.

It is difficult to hear the saddle bag speakers but you can adjust the fade so you can.
I have bad hearing so I tend to twist the volume.
If you have loud exhaust this may be the reason for the tinny sound.
Loud exhaust will not only interfere with the volume it will also interfere with the sound quality. The will be in competition with each.
That is why I use only mild exhaust.
None radio/IPod etc.. bikes loud is good.
