Not that it matters, but to me the gray 2011 Screaming Eagle Road Glide Ultra is the most beautiful bike ever made, an absolute work of art. I just have a hard time mentally, paying $38,000.00 plus other fees for any car or bike. My first new bike was a 77 Sportster and cost $3352.00 which was a fortune for a Lance Corporal (E-3) in the Marine Corps making about $150.00 every 2 weeks, and never saved a dime lol. Paid $15,300 for my 01 Electra Glide Classic, bought it new and am still in shock from spending that kind of money, you might think I'm cheap but I think I just traumatize easily over the cost of stuff. Wife told me to go ahead and get one if I wanted it, but still having fun with the 01, it has 35,000 miles on it and still like new. Next bike will be a CVO though, sorry for the long winded post.

I think it looks great. I would buy one but I do not want to sell my '09 CVO Softail Springer & my wife would NOT understand why I need 2 bikes. I will someday have 2 or move into a RG or SG just for the comfort for long distance rides. As of now I'm happy with what i have and do not want to lose my current CVO; I would like to keep it since its my first Harley.

He first HD was also a 77 XLCH. He said it was a b#%&h kicking it over sometimes. No electric start on that one. He traded it in the next year for a 78 Low Rider

I can just never bring myself to liking dual headlights on a bike. Other than that, it's a beautiful bike - I like all the CVOs. As far as fixing a bike up, I spent most of a lifetime putting stuff together a piece at a time. Now that I'm old and beat-up, I like getting it done up front.
As far as 'not spending too much', aren't those the guys that buy Hondas?

Congrats to the CVO owners and Congrats on those who mod stock bikes to their personal taste. Simple enough I think.
For those who question the CVO cost just stop and get out your adding machine. The stock RG is around 22k, now take out the Harley catalog and price a 110" engine, custom paint, custom gauges, billet everything chromed, etc. You will probably hit 50k invested and it will not be a CVO, it will be a clone.I've had a number of bikes and I will admit I lost thousands trading in & up. IMO CVO's are a bargin, plus if you trade them in they hold their value quite well.
My friend just got a new CVO RG, and the thing is a work of art, every piece is just about flawless.
