The 12 RGC CVO sold very well and fast in most areas. Particularly the Maple/Black ones.
Who wouldn't want the CVO with the most power? Only the RGC CVO comes with the 110 rated 122 ft. lbs of torque at the crank. And it is lighter than the Street Glide by about 35 lbs.
Price is meaningless as to value. The RGC CVO is a magnificent machine. I added it to my collection of 10 bikes.
I paid attention in high school on career day.
I liked the handling of the 12 RGC over my 10 Ultra so I bought a 12 in Black Denim. I liked the look and power of the 12 RGC CVO so I added it.

What is the problem with the extra air they are talking about? Was considering buying RG over the SG, for the so called better ride?? Thanks.
"2manytoys - I went to my dealer to buy the 12 CVO RG...thought I wanted one for more highway stability. I test drove a used 11 RG and found that they have thier own wind management problems when it comes to buffeting and there was some fitment issues for me to be comfortable. I just didn't want to start from scratch to make the adjustments. I know what works on the SG to help on both accounts and already had the parts off my 09 SG to make the adjustments. Plus the SG came with lowers and a little bit better sound system. Although I am contemplating yanking the whole BOOM audio system out because it is too bulkey and marginal at best.
"dirtdobber - I have road tested a couple of RG's including a CVO. I did like it but the extra air from it was not what I wanted. I am sure there are solutions to it but I test road a few SG's and one cvo SG. It went home with me. couldn't help it.

'13 CVO Roadglide
I just bought the '13 CVO Roadglide Anniversary edition. Sold my CVO '05 Fatboy. I love, love, love the RG. Riding on the highway I can't even feel the truckers draft in either direction. Sound system rocks! Installing the Thundermax EFI control and D&D Fat Cat pipes next Wednesday along with highway pegs and a black luggage rack and sissy bar/back rest for my GF.

The problem with most of these assertions, is that a Streetglide and a Roadglide custom are identical in every way, except for the fairing.
Mass produced bikes typically share the majority of the same parts....it's cheaper that way.
One of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make was seriously standing in the dealer deciding RG or SG.....no joke it was HARD. And yes you DO second guess yourself even 2 years later from time to time.
Either way, I SHOULD have gotten a CVO, but oh well.....
Man I wish I had the 110 motor already. And BTW, I wonder how many sales Harley will lose over selling the Streetglide CVO this year as a Road King?

I find it a bit humorous that there should be arguments over someone's choice of Harley. The great thing about the MoCo is that they make a variety of bikes at many different price points. For the guy that wants to work on his bike, turn a wrench and do a load of mods Harley has a bike. For the person that wants a turn key bike, they offer that too. Something for everyone.
