I am gonna do some 30K maintenance this winter to include cam chains and shoes. Might consider changing cams. 2 questions, should chains be changed?, and can anyone recommend a cam option for a basically stock 103 with a good open air cleaner and a D&D fatcat?

I put S&S 590's in my 2006 SEUC
Duration not lift. Gear Driven and an easy and quick change. Not sure if there's a stock map as I had my SERT dynoed.

 

I put the Andrews 54N in my FLHTCUSE along with the hydraulic cam conversion kit and I really like it. You may want to put a thinner head gasket in to bump the compression a bit. The 54's like about 10.1 or 10.2:1 compression.
