Default stage 1

With the 110 motor do you need to do a stage one update when you buy the bike?

No, don't waste your money. All it does is move the rev limiter to 6250 RPM. Dealers can not do anything to the bike that would change the factory emissions. The HD stage 1 air filter is junk. Go with an aftermarket like a K&N and a fuel management system like a TTS or fuel pac. You don't need to make any fuel changes if you add the air cleaner, engine maintains the lean factory F/A ratio even with aftermarket exhaust and AC changes. Again the only way to change this lean condition is with a programmable aftermarket fuel management system. Good luck.

I would definitely get some kind of tuner since the bike runs way too lean from the factory. This lean condition also causes it to run hot. A tuner will give you better throttle response and a cooler running motor.
