Default Are Most CVO's Sold Before Delivery to the Dealerships?

I have been trying to find a Tequillia Sunrise Street Glide to see again in person. No luck in Indy and while on vacation in SW Florida no luck either. To make matters worse, in Florida I have been told they are sold before delivery to the Dealership and over MSRP ($2k-$4k). My dealer in Indy has one inbound mid May and would take a refundable deposit at MSRP. I would have 48 hours to complete the deal. Did you CVO owners here put deposits down to hold? How many 2010 Street Glides CVO will be produced?

About half are pre-sold. If a dealer is offering a refundable deposit ,grab it. You have nothing to lose. Most will not take a refundable deposit.

Last time I was there, the local Albuquerque dealer still had a blue one and the tequillia one on the floor. And, yes, they want a $2K premium over MSRP (probably why they are still there). I also had a lot of mail here from other members in surrounding states (AZ and Colorado) that plenty were available at their local dealerships. Hey, do a Fly and Ride! The weather is great here now in the desert southwest!!

The dealer websites have changed where you could search their used inventory and see the new current models available.

Every time I have walked into Ventura HD in the last year there has been at least 1 CVO on the floor for a long time. I don't pay too much attention to them so I can't give specifics, but they sure stand out against the standard HD models, they are dang pretty!!!
