Vance and Hines high output Slip-ons
Took my new 2010 CVO Streetglide (spiced Rum) to have a recall done and new V & H 4" High Output Slip-ons installed and they could not get them to fit. Since it was on a Saturday no help available from V & H. Has anyone else had them installed on their FLXSE and was it necessary to add a fuel management system. There is not enough clearance from the head pipe shields to get the slip-ons all the way on the head pipe to secure it with out leaking. Appreciate and input.

V & H hi perform. slip ons
I just registerd on here today and the first post I see is what I was looking for about the same slip ons. I'm taking delivery of the new cvo ultra black and want to use the same slip ons-according to V&H site it says it will fit under the bags etc.--maybe I need to rethink this one.

Got them installed, look and sound great, deep rich sound a little louder than clock works and other 4" out there. Now trying to decide if I need a fuel management system and what kind. no poping or issues so far, but Local Hd said would be a good idea because of the 110 motor. But they may also be trying to sell me something.

went to dealer with my question about the hi-outputs and hi-flow air cleaner- they said with the hi-outputs no fuel management needed but ,if I do them and the hi-flow air cleaner then I need to purchase the racing tuner program ($400.00) to be pluged in and mapped for the bike and then they give you your race tuner to leave with because its "burnt in" for my specific bike.woooooo weeeeeee just mo money$$$$$$$$$$

Vance and Hines Hi-Output 4" slip-ons.
I bought these from the dealer when I bought my 2010 Electra Glide Classic. Received them in about a week, installed them, no problem. If you want quiet mufflers these are for you. I told the parts guy, I wanted LOUD mufflers. I told him I wanted Rhineharts which was what I had on my 2007 Road King. He said, "oh no, you want the Vance and Hines". Like a dummy, I said, "OK". $649.00 and now I have them for sale on Craigslist for $299.00. Too quiet, they are slightly louder than the stock mufflers. And beleive it or not, you can get a quiet baffle for them. I spoke with Vance and Hines and asked them if they sold a performance baffle for these pipes. No, I was told I could remove the sock and/or the baffle, but performance would suffer. My new American Custom pipes will arrive this coming Thursday, then I will have choices. If you like very quiet mufflers, then the Vance and Hines Hi Output "4 are for you. PS: can anyone tell me where the cats are in the head pipes of my bike. Are they in the power chamber or the headpipes themselves? Thanks

The cat. conv. on all 2010 Touring bikes is in the header pipes where the two pipes come together, down by your right foot. It will get hot on you and constrict the air flow, sound and performance a bit. There are solutions to eliminate the cat. We offer a solution, and other manufacturers do as well. Not trying to sell...just help educate.
