Drop down to the bottom left hand corner for tons of calculators, choose auto. To figure your 1000 = x you will need to know months and percentage rate.

A "used car salesman" will tell you it's $20 per $1,000 borrowed. But you have to keep in mind that's a used car salesman.

There are many variables, so there's no set rule of thumb.......not even close. What's your credit score? Is that a 3, 4, 5 or 6 year loan? What interest rate are you going to be able to get? What's the total dollar amount that you're going to finance? and on and on.........

Mr. Wizard you gave the best advice and explanation I have read. I am not in the market, but you make me want to go buy a second bike. Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words Rick. I'm not in the business either. It's just common sense I guess when having to purchase so many vehicles for my business. A dollar is a dollar.

Side note: Paul and Patti are doing well and their new house is grand. I'm sure this summer some of FC are going to come up for a visit. That will be nice. Lots of good riding up here. They both have been working hard and are ready to see their old buds.

Sorry everyone about the hijack.
