I've been told that the 2010 cvo ultra's shocks are 1" lower than a standard ultra. If so, does anyone have input as to whether the ride is somewhat rougher and if bottoming out especially with cornering is an issue?

The SE Ultra doesn't come with lowered shocks in the rear. The SE Street Glide does, but the Street Glide always came with lowered shocks. The 2009 SE Road Glide came with lowered rear shocks.

I haven’t measured anything yet, but the sales person told me it was taller in the seat because they couldn’t take it for the first ride when they sold it. Just as well because that wasn’t going to happen this time. Nothing like buying a bike with 3 miles on only to have the keys handed to you and a bike with 20 miles on it now. Drove this one off with 3 miles.
