I THOUGHT (although I'm not 100% sure), but I thought I once saw a FatBoy (it might have been a CVO) that had the oval football style AC cover with a RED trim ring. Am I right? It may have been a custom one-off that the owner did themselves, and the CVO's I've seen have a different AC cover altogether. I think a red trim ring would look great on my Fatty, so if anyone knows of one??? (even if it just says "Softail"... or 96 cu in... ) Anyone? Thanks in advance, JR

 

I have seen a few bikes with the reverse of what you describe. By that I mean the air filter cover is colour matched, with the standard trim ring in it, which looks very smart. That is an alternative suggestion!
