Default What's a good price for a leftover 2008 SE Ultra?

In a local shop this weekend and they've had a leftover 2008 on the floor for a while and looking to make a good deal to get rid of it.

I am aware of the 08-09 changes (+/-'s), and have seen all the commentary on the 110" issues - just wondering what you all might consider a good $$ for the 2008 leftover.

Thanks!

The MSRP for the 105th 2 tone copper and black was $35,490.00 and around here in Ohio I think you could probably get $1000.00-2000.00 off MSRP at least the way the sale people are all talking,Big savings in the near future!!

Thanks for the reply. They offered my -2K off of MSRP right off the top with no negotiation. Not sure if there is any room left. The '09's are +3K over MSRP.

In late 2008, a dealer by me offered me a brand new S/E Road King for $28k OTD (taxes, tag, title). That was almost $4k less than MSRP with T,T,T). They were very serious with this offer but after reading about all the 110 issues and a few other disconcerning CVO issues, I instead decided to go with a beautiful '06 Deluxe they had with only 2500 miles, I picked this up for $12,100. I definitely think you can do better than $2k off....

Offer them $28 to $29K at most. If they say no, walk! They'll call you back within the week. I had several of them offered to me at $29K, but I decided to wait to find an 09, and I got it for $50 under MSRP. Not much under MSRP, but paying over MSRP is absolutely ridiculous.

Remember, on the 08, when you leave the dealership, that bike is depreciating more than leaving with an 09 right out the door. It's already a year old and there are some nice improvements on the 09's. Nothing wrong with the 08's, but it puts you in the driver seat. They don't want that bike sitting around forever. They are paying carrying costs on their inventory.

I dont know if this is a Harly program or just my local dealer but LA Harley Davidson is offering "Employee Pricing" like the car dealers on any leftover 08's they have in stock, you might give them a call
