No I was not saying anything bad about Diamond Cut , just it wasn't for me and I was lucky enough to see it before I sent my stuff out because just seeing it in photos I was gonna have it done but it is too "blingy"(don't know how else to put it) for me. My motor is not all Stage III it is also part Stage IV with the CNC ported MVA heads and the 58mm TB and I used quick install push rods, having said that the 251 cams are a great set for low to mid but start to flatten out above 4500 rpm so as you stated your preference for 2-4krpm power you will love them! I am thinking of switching to T-Man 662-1 cams later this year or next when the weather gets bad(rain, if it ever comes) lift on the 251's are .579 and the T-Man is .660 so it should give my heads a chance to really shine and I already like em a bunch!

Thanks for the update!

Here in CO, where the vast majority of my riding from May through Mid-Nov is up in the mountains, the 2K - 4K (perhaps 4.5K) is precisely where my '07 was operating, so the 251 cam set will be awesome.

My build will use the "SE perfect fit pushrod +.030" along with a few other goodies.

I am looking forward to the day when the dealer calls and says "come get it"...I'll be taking that day off to ride...ALL day long (if it is during the work-week).

oh yeah....Elk can make a day go bad REAL quick. Moose aren't a whole lot of fun either! That spot will be my first picture shot when I pick up the new scooter (late March / early April).

If you ever get out this direction, shoot me a PM before ya head out of SoCal!
