I should not of bragged
I was posting the other day that my bike had not had to have any repairs, and now as I was riding home from work this morning it just quit accelerating, well made it home checked the bike out and found that the idle cable was broken, causing the throttle to return past zero position. No body around here has these parts, Had to order them from Oregon and have them shipped PDQ, it is going to be a long couple of days.

There are several things wrong with your setup in the first place. The return cable should not even see much action pressure wise and if it breaks there were some serious adjustment issues. You can't go past 0 as the tb has a stop as well as the grip inside has a stop. These two should almost touch the same time with tb stop slightly before the grip stop. The return cable is then adjusted to take up it's slack and no more, or you will place both cables under pressure, all the time. By placing the tb stop and grip stop at almost the same time the return cable sees no stress and won't fail. Incorrect adjustment of this cable will also result in failing to go full throttle as well. For what it's worth either the factory or dealer in my case don't have a fkg clue how to adjust them either as my bike would only go to 3/4 throttle when I got it.

hehehe...
Well, your FIRST problem, as your topic shows, is to say something silly like ** ooh I have no problems**
I run into the same thing when I throw stuff away, I am a pack rat, I will horde stuff for like 5 years, I will chuck it, and need it the following week.
Just be happy it was your throttle cable, I was coming home one night, going to make a left at a stop light and my CLUTCH cable broke, thankfully there were no cars coming at that very second.. it could have gotten really ugly. Worst part about that, it was my fault for routing the cable wrong and had no one to blame.
