How is the wind in the face? Did you get the tint, black, or clear and what do you think about the color? I have a RG and have to change to a taller shield.

I have one on order, & still awaiting delivery, I'm curious, where is this SERG setting? Also I like you am concerned about the short windshield, but I think I would ride the bike before deciding to change it, I switched over to a flip up full face last year, so if buffing is not a problem I won't change. There are many replacement windshields on the mark, I think I'd go with a Knocks Werks if I change it.

 

I'm breaking my buddies 09 SE roadie in because he has an eye infection (lucky me).
My Obs:
Fullface helmet,gator mask or bandanna,period.Stock windshield just looks good!!!
This bike is a Two wheeled caddy!!! Man cant get over how smooth this bike rolls on the highway at all speeds!Steady as a rock in the turns at high speeds!

That dumb idea for crossing the pipe under the frame is just that!The crossover tube is only an 1" 1/4 and chokes the hell out of any flow to the left side pipe!It's a lil cooler on the left side now but your still frying your right thigh!(BTW the baffles are welded to muffs)can be modded with a lil work though.

Still has the hesitation on roll off,pretty sure its the throttle by wire thingy.
Damn SE cams are still flat as a pancakes,however the new gearing set up is sweet,6th gear is now rendered useful!!!

Overall HD did a hell-uva-job listening to actual riders when makeing the 09's.I'm not a road glide fan,and will not buy one.Just dont care for the look,other than that,she's one solid ****!!!

I think piching off the left pipe is what HD intended to do, making the exhaust really a two into one. About all I plan to do is change exhausts & install tuner package if required, HOWEVER I plan to retain the stock exhaust, between the fools with straight pipes & the EPA I think we are going to see a BIG crack down on non stock exhausts very soon.

I still await the bike, I talked with HD GHQ they did not show the rider back rest is included with bike, but on page 30 of the summer 2008 Enthusiast it clearly states that it & the passenger IS included, can you advise if your buddy's SERG came with rider back rest???

I've always used mustang seats, but thought I'd try the seat on the bike first, but without a back rest it would be really hard to tell.

I have a question for the 09 RG owners...... I love the look of the "lack of plastic headlight cover" However, how is it when you ride through "Bugs"????
