Default 2000 RGs FLTRSEI

There are not many out there as there were not that many built. But would like any information or input on things you might have done to this ride. Always trying to improve, but hard to do on such a great ride.
Did have to install a Pwr Cmndr to adjust things but still have some fuel problems every now and then. I have to replace plugs a couple of times a year. Bike has been on the Dyno and adjusted which really helped.
V&H slipons, Pwr Cmndr, plugged off crossover for single exhaust. (great results) Always run prem fuel.
Has Corbin seat but didn't know until I got the right person at Corbin that they do not make a seat to fit this bike. Because of the small tour pack. All their seats are a bit to long. Would love to find a seat for the bike that rides like a Corbin. The one I have is literally coming apart and they will not correct. Will not spend another $250 to resew their poor workmanship. 3rd Corbin I've had and this is the only one that is junk.
Absolutely love this ride!

As for plugs. I found that the stock plugs worked the best with the PC, pipes and AC. I tried several other brands including the SE's and they would all foul out if I pumped the throttle prior to starting.

Could always convert to a carb, I did. Plug and play conversion, no cutting.

As for the seat. If you like Corbins I'd consider getting one and having your local seat guy fit it to the bike (cut, trim and sew). You could also move the tour pack back an inch or so. I removed the bolts from the TP and redrilled my holes. This gave me about 1 1/2" of extra room.

I use the SE plugs and they seem to be working the best so far. But kinda expensive to keep replacing. As for re-drilling the holes for the Tour Pack...have considered that...just hated to for some reason.
Cut, Trim and redo the seat is very likely to happen as all the seams are coming apart so have to do something with it anyway.
How do you like the carb conversion? Improve things? Didn't realize there was a kit. Will look into it. Did it change your mileage any?

Had I known the carb conversion was going to work so well I would have done it in 01 when I purchased the bike.

I reguarly got mid 30's MPG @ 80ish MPH. With the carb I'm averaging 42 MPG @ 80ish MPH

There was no kit to speak off. Headpan over on the CVO board turned me on to the parts breakdown of what was needed. Worked as he said it would, simple.

Only thing I changed was to put on the Hooker slipons. Still use stock plugs. Get great milage. 48-50 mpg. I think the stock seat is very comfortable but the passenger seat is not (I hear regularly Heh Heh) With the low profile tourbox I can't put the big ole classic seat on. I've put 64,240 miles on her with no trouble. Great bike!

That is a bit choppy but you will get the jist of it. I can always send you the Excel file if you would like. I figured it out using OEM parts, Screamin' Eagle parts and aftermarket parts.

Using all stock parts $570.00
