I finally got mine back last night, I brought it in for a engine noise that they said was a cracked rocker plate? While it was there I found out about the recall on this forum, I told them about the recall/upgrade and they new nothing about it, it took about a week for them to get info on it, and another week to get the parts. It seams to run better but my bike was at the dealer for almost a month and it could be from not having it.

Was at a dealership that has a CVO RK that I am considering purchasing. The dealer looked up the VIN to see if any recalls were on it. None were found he's telling me. I wonder if this bike was built with the changes already made. If I remember it was number 1458.

Default So far, so good!

Have almost 500 miles on the bike with new heads, gaskets, guides, etc. Runs much quieter and starts without the loud pops or kick backs it's had since new. Had to argue with dealer about putting in new rings but they finally put tem in after I told them that if the MoCo was to cheap to provide rings I would pay for them. I did pay for them. I just figured after three tear downs, still using oil, it should get all new.
Like I say so far.

Great News. I am still waiting for mine to be repaired. Seems Dealership says parts take 7 to 10 days to get. That would have been this past Thursday, but then they were so backed up they couldn't get to mine until Tuesday or Wed. even if the parts had come in.
Good idea on Rings. I will contact dealer today to insure that they replace mine with new ones too. This will be the 3rd and I hope final fix to this matter. Dealership says it has been doing upgrade since notice came out and so far no one has had problems. I didn't have problems on mine the first time until about 7000 miles.
We'll see.

Thanks for the update and heads up on the way the bike runs afterwards.

Default 110 Recall

Got call from dealer who now says the parts for the 110 upgrade are on "backorder" which is code for "they have no clue as to when the parts will be in".
Now, if Harley had set in stone the recall, don't you think they would be smart enough to have set aside enough of the parts to fix the "recalls"?

I have been without my bike for 3 weeks now and it appears this could go on for several more.

Does anyone know to whom I might fire off a letter ranting on this matter?

i am in the customer svc biz and in all seriousness, you should send to senior folks at the company. CEO, Pres, Head of ops, head of CVO program etc. Call the 800 number and ask for names and addresses.

Strange. My 0906 parts came in yesterday (ordered 12 days ago). The dealer also has several recently received 0906 kits on hand for other owners.

I will get mine installed over the winter. My warranty runs out in November. The gaskets and ACR's will be replaced per the notice.

The bike has run great so far with the repairs from last winter, so hopefully it will only get better!

Is the 0906 parts, or are the 0906 parts the "fix" or "recall" for the 110? If so, what dealership are you referring to? I'd like to take your info back to my dealer and ask him again, what's up with the delay.

Thanks..

Dan... The 0906 "kit" was the enhancement campaign for my bike ('07 FLHRSE3). Depending on the build date, some have a different kit#. I saw the small box containing the 0906 components... an updated ACR (Automatic Compression Release), and updated cylinder gaskets. This was essentially it. Picked the bike up yesterday. Can't tell a thing different from the saddle, and I had no problems before, but I'm optimistic H-D wouldn't be going to this expense if it wasn't worth it.

Rocky Mountain H-D was the servicing dealer.
