Alarm pager will not work with SERK...
Well, I was at my stealer yesterday getting the SERT and pipes put on my SERK.
I had purchased the alarm pager a couple weeks back and could never get the darn thing to marry with the alarm. I ask my stealer to take a look at it as they were making the mods.
Low and behold, the SE's only come with the Smart Siren I. The pager only works with version II. Why the heck didn't the MOCO install the latest version in the first place - I thought that this was supposed to be their premiere line!!!
So the MOCO has taken more money from me, again,so that I can get the pager working properly. It continues to surprise me why MOCO went cheap on some of the more simpler items.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I talked to my dealer and it looks like you just have to replace theHarley-Davidson Factory Security System Smart Siren Kit with the H-D Security System Smart Siren II to be able to use the Smart System II pager so it isjust a $90.00 fix...still cheap of the MOCO to not install the Smart Siren II at the factory.

That was my experience as well. You need the II series. Which has an antenna to comunicate with the pager. It ws simple enough to install. I did manage to recoupe about 40 dollars of the cost by selling the installed one on ebay. Good luck. Don't forget to turn your pager off when not in use. It sucks batteries. I suspect its always acting as a transponder even though you don't really wan't to have it active.
