Default CB and Radio Antenna

Just wondering about the stock CB and Radio antenna's for the Ultra's. I have XM radio...Do they make a short rubber antenna for radio as well as CB...If so..does anyone know how to get and pricing..and do they work as well as the stock antenna's??

Thanks for any info.

Check these out.

I have a pair coming in this week for my SEUC. I've read some comments that they do better than stock. Didn't find a single negative comment. So for 40 bucks I thought I would givem a try.

One thing to consider, especially if you are a religious CB user, is to ensure that your SWR is set correctly, as you are changing the length of the OE unit....

CB antennas MUST be tuned for SWR by modifying the overall mast height....

JKPT..

Thanks for the tip. I had already noticed a couple of posts regarding the J and M and just went to the web site and reviewed them. Appears to be what I would be looking for. Seems also that the CB issue regarding SWR's will be fine too, so no issues there.

I was hoping that they would be rubber and flexable, appear to be somewhat ridged, like a shorter version of what we already have.

Oh well...they do appear to be what I was interested in and I too shall order a pair.

Thanks again..

P.S. My bike looks exactly like yours. Great color scheme.

I don't use the CB , but I replced both with short rubber antennas from Auto Zone $7.59 each. No issues yet.
Good luck.

DanB:

I have a set of these:

as do several area Ultra owners, and they work extremely well given the short height. A bit pricey, but the SWR is adjustable as SHB noted, and the tech that set mine wasvery satisfiedwith the adjustability for the CB.

Excellent quality!

Just ordered J&M, they can be adjusted for optimum swr, but they state that out of the box, they are better than the stock whips. And if you decide to go with them, just note that they are sold individually. So $40 a piece, although I found a set on an ebay store for $35, $78 shipped.

My damn CB antenna just broke off on the highway. Still covered by warranty anda new one is on order. 35 bucks is the price for a stock antenna.

How do you adjust the SWR? Is this something that has to be done by the dealer?

Thanks,
