Default What else would you add to a FLHRSE4?

Looking to pick up the latest SERK. I'm looking to do SERT and pipes.

I know that the bike already comes with many additional items, but would like to know if there are other essential add-ons that I should get based on the experiences of current or previous SERK oweners.

Are you kidding? I went through the '07 Parts and Accessories catalog when I picked up my 07 SERK and came up with 4-pages of parts (single spaced typed) that should have been on the bike from the factory.

Here is a few that I am planning:

Chrome Starter, chrome Inner Primary, Braided fuel line, chrome tank hardware, passing lights, SERT, Rinehart TD's, chrome front and rear calipers, chrome engine hardware, etc... It goes on and on...

I sent a letter to the CVO Team with my list and have communicated with them how disappointed I am with the CVO build quality and probably never buy another one or Harley for that fact...

Here's hoping you never have to!

The very first thing added to my SERK was the RUN, BRAKE, TURN SIGNAL MODULE KIT, part number 69462-06A. This kit comes with the module, two red lenses and some cable ties. It adds running lights and brake light functionality to the rear turn signals. The kit is very easy to install and retails for about $55.

From what I can see....the only things I'd immediately add are chrome engine bolts...I hate those zinc looking ones and quite frankly all of the CVO's should be using chrome bolts from the factory...Stage 1 with some beefier slip-on mufflers...locks for the bags....a detachable tour pack....and a nice chrome license plate frame...Im easy to please when a bike costs this much out of the box...lol.

The next project for my FXDSE is to replaced the shocks, with the exposed spring or change the cams, depending on when mine goes in for the recall, might as well change cams while they are in the engine.
