Default '19 CVO RG - 117 engine upgrade

Hi all...

I've got 4,600 miles on the bike, no issues. PowerVision/Bassani Head Pipe/SVT Boneshakers. I'm looking for more low-mid range.

I can either 1) add a new cam (Woods 22X) with rods and lifters, 2) A 128 Kit, or 3) Harley Stage 4 with a better cam.

Any opinions? Looking for torque from 30-70 mph, passing power, and just more *****. Don't care about top end or max HP.

Thanks!

I did the 22x, FM Jackpot head pipe, Rinehart pipes, and PV with a tune from FM. Love my setup!

My 19 cvo runs great with s+s 475 cam and sounds great also. I have magnaflow 4 inch mufflers with a 2.5 baffle. With all the talk about open mufflers killing the bottom end I decided to throw the stock cvo mufflers on just to see how it ran with my cam. I can say for sure that the open mufflers do leave a lot on the table. With the stock cvo mufflers the torque was very noticeable in upper gears when rolling on full throttle from 2k rpms up. With the open mufflers it still picks up but with the stockers it picked up much faster for sure. Seems like if you want to have the best performance with the M8 you will have to sacrifice some sound for more restrictive exhaust. It's a tough call!

Did you have your bike professionally tuned? I assume so if you have HP numbers.

100%. I know if I keep my Boneshakers, I'll be leaving some HP on the table. I can't go back to stock, so I'll need something in the middle. Maybe the Fuel Moto Jackpots.

I did not leave the stock cvo mufflers on, they sound awful! Just did it to compare tq loss to my magnaflows. I've been looking at the S+S grand nationals, I've heard them in person and they sound good and have a spiral louvered baffle with removable insert, I'm being told these will bring all the bottom end back.

The S&S Grand Nationals sound good and the heat shields fit them. They also have a removable baffle if you want a little more sound. I bought mine from Fuel Moto, they had the best price.

Do you run the insert in or out on yours?

Those are impressive numbers for the work done. Great to see. I’m kinda hold back a bit until 2yr warranty is up then I’m doing a shopping spree at FM.
