Default 09 FLHTCUSE4 Heated Seat Plug

Hi folks,

I bought recently a FLHTCUSE4. It has the heated seat on it (as you may know) but when I take off the seat to verify some details and clean up the bike I saw that it was disconnected.
When I tried to connect it, I saw that the connection plug present on my bike (the one who has a small label with "Heated Seat") is a typical HD plug with just two connection points with two cables behind (red and black). However, the plug of the seat is completely different. A small white one with 4 cables behind (yellow, blue and two white).

Does anyone know what is going one? Perhaps any missing adapter?

Thank you!

Looks like an aftermarket heated seat that uses a different connection.

I'm pretty sure that is an original one regarding it has all the Harley Davidson logos and labels inside. What I think is that for any reason the original plug could break or something...

I used a multimeter and I verified that the blue and yellow wires are the positive and negative ones. The white wires I'm not sure, but it has a big impedance between them (about 11KOhm), wich changes when the seat starts to heat (decreases)...

Cheers!

one on the M/C is the same as my 2013 Ultra CVO. see if there is a label on the seat. my seat has a rocker switch, up low, center off, down high for both seats.

Hi Vanman59,

The unique label is the one you can see on the photo! The seat as two switches (one for the rider and other for the pillion) off on the centre and two different heating levels (one down and another up).

Any idea?

Cheers!

What is missing is the electronic controller. You will notice a cutout in the padding bottom where the four pronged plug comes out of the seat. To access it the seat cover has to be removed. I am not certain if the moco has replacements but check with your dealer. That is the only way to get the seat working. Both switches have to plug into the controller also. Good luck.
