I also went RWD route with Traxxion AK20 in the front. I wasn't very happy with ride or handling of My 2019 RGS. Now I can honestly say that it is a fun bike to ride.
russ has been in the suspension for a long time.

Are lowering links for the rear shocks really bad for them by changing the angle of the shock? Asking because I would like to get lower to the ground so as not to slip backing up, already have a lower seat on my 19 SGS and wear logging boots.Thanks.

Russ was awesome and invited me into his shop and compared his shocks to sample shocks he had which were made by Legend and Öhlins. He explained why his shocks are better as one of the features is that they have adjustable compression settings versus rebound settings. Long story short, I was so impressed, I ended up buying a set and Russ and his son installed them for me and set the sag. When I took my test ride, I could tell by the time I left his driveway and made it to the road, I had made the right decision. Amazing.

‘They have transformed my ride. No more spine crushing bottoming out events, much improved handling, smoother cruising. Highly recommended. Russ is a class act and his shop is a family operation. For the record, I have no affiliation with RWD, I’m just a happy customer who appreciated excellent customer service and a great product. If you’re in the market for shocks, check these out before you buy. http://www.russwernimont.com/RWD-RS-...ks-_p_371.html.

Oh, lifetime warranty and Made in the USA too.
I had narrowed my decision down to legend REVO A and the RWD RS-1.
I got on Legends site and notice there is no phone number to call. Thought that was kinda weird, but not terrible. I had a few questions so I called RWD. Russ answered, which Was unexpected. He’s a really nice guy who clearly takes pride in his company and products. He let me ask questions and was in no hurry to hang up the phone. He helped me with my particular issue and could not be more happy that I found such a cool family ran business. Shocks now on order and will follow up with that. I have no doubt they will work as advertised.

Default Sold!

Ugh! I was originally going to get these, but then started looking into the pro-action. Reading this thread, I'm sold. Ordering a set tomorrow. Fingers crossed I'll get them before my road trip. Haha

Update, I was experiencing what I thought was rear tire rubbing when I would go through a big dip in the road. I was getting a little concerned so I stopped by the Pro-Action tent at Sturgis and told DJ and George about my concerns. They said they don't sell lowering blocks and have never installed any but have taken several off. Any way they re adjusted my shocks and i went for a ride and felt every thing was probably good. I went back to the tent to have the bags put back on and they measured things again they asked if I was happy. I then asked if they thought I wold benefit from removing the blocks, they said maybe, So I asked them if they would remove them and set things again and they were more than happy to do that. So off they came! They set them up again and told me to go for another ride, WOW we didn't go but a few miles on the same road and my wife said leave those DAMN blocks OFF, yes it was that much better. In the end the bike wasn't sitting hardly any higher than it was with the H-D shocks. George and DJ know there stuff and don't make you feel like an idiot when you talk to them, unlike some other vendors that sell shocks. I have said before that I didn't think that lowering blocks were such a bad idea, but I have changed my opinion about them as far as being able to get the most out of your suspension. Hope this helps some one else in the future.

Do you have a part number for these? I see some being sold online with different vendors and want to make sure I order the right ones for my bike. Did you get standard spring in 13” for your bike?

Steve,
There's different part numbers for the different shocks. Say you want the 13" standard, it's different than the 13" HD shock.

If you're ordering them online, I think all you need to do is check the "bagger" box, the size you want and whether you wand standard or HD when ordering online. In all the research I've done (which is extensive) I found they'll fit almost all newer baggers the same. I ordered mine today from IMZZ in SoCal and on the website it just says "bagger". Or you could call the company you're wanting to order them from.
