Default Noisey cvo 117

I notice my 117 is kinda noisey while just cruising, hear some ticking while crusing, cant hear it when on the throttle a little. Not really worried just wondering if anyone else hears this on their cvo 117, thanks!

I'm sure that would be HD's answer. My 2017 107M8 did not make this noise, just wondering if it's a 117 thing?

Right before I started my cam swap/1K service, I thought I heard something too. Turns out I did. A factory installed exhaust leak. Might be worth checking. I only heard mine at higher rpms.

I will check on that, thanks. Sounds kinda like a lifter tic to me, not bad, just didnt notice it on the 107. My 2017 didnt have lowers either so maybe the cvo cockpit is just more quite and I can hear little things better.

My new 117 with 600 miles has no unusual sounds. I'd run it in and have them replicate it though.

Not too worried about it, just an observation that I didnt hear on the 107.

I thought I heard the same thing on my 117. Come to find out I had lost, or never had, the flange nuts on the rear cylinder exhaust. Replaced and is quiet now. Got lucky and put my hand behind the breather and felt like a fan was blowing on my hand.

My 117 is significantly quieter than my 103.

I hear it on mine, the ticking is at 2000 rmp’s, not 2100 and not 1900, at 2000 rpm’s it will tick all day long. Of course Harley says “they all do that” and “it’s completely normal”.
