Default Lowering My 2018 CVO Limited

I have a 2019 CVO Limited on order and like the title says I want / need to lower it. G-d was having fun when he made me. I am 6 foot tall with a 28" inseam. I am the world's biggest dwarf!

On my 2011 RGU I ran Ohlins 3-3s with lowering plates set at the smallest drop. This dropped the rear by just over 1 inch. In front I had Progressive Monotubes set at -1 inch. I was very happy with this set up. I was flat footed when stopped.

Anyway, I just sent my Ohlin's back to Howard to be rebuilt and I still have the lowering plates, so the rear is taken care of. So the real question is how do I lower the front? I want good / decent handling ( I don't expect to carve canyons on this thing) so I don't think I want a set of drop in springs. The Ohlins cartridges are just too expensive I don't care how good they handle. That leaves the Progressive Suspension Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit (Lowering Kit) - 31-4007 and the Harley version...

Are there any other reasonably priced (<$500) units? Have any of you installed any of these on your bike? How did you like it?

Enquiring minds want to know....

i went to alligator bob and got a I think its called a pro pad put in seat and lower it almost two inches . The seat on my 2017 had a lot of room to lower it.
that hammock type seat can be lowered a lot and still be heated etc,

Thanks for the thought, but I don't plan on going the lowered seat route. I have a Road Zeppelin that the seat coming on the CVO has to beat out to be my favorite.

I lowered my 12 FLHTK using the shorter shocks for the rear and the spring kit for the front . The new one I didn’t bother with it, because of the sacrifice of the overall ride that I experienced with the ‘12. The ‘12 handled great and rode fairly smooth , until you started to put a lot a miles on the same set of tires . When you start to increase the contact patch of the tires and wear the tires down some you start to feel at lot more feed back in the handlebars. Also, you’ll start dragging floorboards and other stuff when you lower it .IMO, If you’re going to spend 40k + for something you want to enjoy riding, spend whatever it takes to get ride and handling you want. Otherwise you’ll never be happy.
