Currently have a 2016. Was hoping HD would come out with a more stripped down version of the CVO RG and they did. But I've been reading about a lot of problems with the 114.. Oil sumping and bad oil pumps. Then read how Steve at Fullsac found a bad design with leaking piston jets and how that could be the problem. Then there's the whole warranty thing. You do a stage 4 and start having these problems Harley will just deny warranty. Sucks..
Dealer said he'd call me in a couple weeks to talk numbers but I think I'm just going to build by 16 and it should be reliable then and give this new design some time. Wonder how the new 117 is going to do with upgrades? Anybody done any?

114" seem to be ok in stock form, I did torque cams and a download, stock exhaust, runs excellent.
To bad one year model CVO 114", but they do run good.

Not just the 114, also the 107 with similar issues. I'm in the same boat as you, going to wait till the next model year before springing for a new bike. In the meantime, my 2010 is running great and so no big deal. It generally takes Harley 2 to 3 years to work out the bugs on a new motor, not great but there it is.

I put 20526 miles trouble free on my 17 CVO Street Glide. I have 4468 trouble free miles on my 18 CVO road glide. They can't be any worse than the 110 motors.

Out of four 110 bikes, two of mine had failed lifters. The 15 CVO lifters failed so bad at 44K miles the engine was replaced, under warranty.

I am sure if the 117 sumps I will find out long before warranty is up, as so far the ones I have read about started doing that before 7K miles.

The 110 motors in 2007-2008 were pretty troublesome for some, for sure.

I had troubles with the 09 CVO Road glide 110 and the 2015 CVO Road Glide ultra with the up-graded lifters that still failed.

Go figure! My 2010 is still trouble free, keep my fingers crossed! Bone stock with the exception of decatted pipes, XIED's and non mechanical mods.
