Default 2017 CVO Street Glide

Has anyone added a detachable king tour pak to their CVO Street Glide yet? My wife doesn't like riding without one. I traded my 2007 CVO Ultra in on the 2017 which I LOVE way better than the 07 CVO. I guess I'm going to have to get one and make it detachable, as I like the look without it.

Great looking bike, that was my color choice before I decided to buy the CVO Limited. Just a thought and this may not be true, just the dealer trying to sell me. When I was looking at the CVO SG back in February I knew I would want a tour pack. The dealer said I should order it when I get the bike because Harley only paints a limited amount and after that there can be a lengthy wait if you can get them at all. With the '18s out in less than a month you might want to check on it. Enjoy that AWESOME ride

I kept my chopped TP from my previous bike and had it painted to match the new bike, vs just buying one from HD. The factory ones are 1 color (the dark blue) with just a strip across the top in the lighter blue. I didnt care for that scheme and chose to go 2 colors as shown in pic. to follow suite of front of bike vs all dark in back. I do have 'Screamin Eagle' painted on the back for a touch of custom. If I had to do it again, Id just ordered the king TP from HD for more space and been done with it. (Been cheaper too). Hardest part was installing the rack. Waited until night before trip just to make sure had to have it. lol I have color matched plastic plugs that snap in the screw holes for a clean look. I actually like the look of my bike with the TP on vs off. Just easier with it off for day to day riding

I did the same.... Had my TP from my '15 repainted and choose a different paint scheme than factory for my personal touch.

Off topic here but looking at the rear of your CVO It appears you took the license plate light off correct? That light is butt ugly and if you did, did it leave a hole in the fender? I am looking at buying a CVO street Glide.

We have the Yafee Stealth license plates frames. Mine is match painted to my bike. There are no holes added/unused. It uses the existing mounting holes to mount the new frame, just gotta drill the threads out for the new bolts to pass thru vs screw into. The wires for the plate lights use the same hole.

All I've got is the factory matched chopped tour pack. It's kind of a pain to take off, well more to put it back on I guess. The king tour pack must feel like your holding up Baby Huey as you straddle it to put it back on lol.

Though this is my first Street Glide with a tour pack, I kinda like it. I personally wouldn't want the king tour pack though, it would be just too much in size etc.

I had the ugly tail light taken off and this wrap around with LED lights from Dennis Kirk I think. The harley dealer said someone else did it, so I had them do it. It makes the bike loo so much cleaner. The hole is under the plate.

Your bike look nice, is that a chopped TP? I had a 07 CVO Ultra with a leather TP. That was big and heavy as I had it made removable 1 month after I bought the bike. The bike handled so much different. I had to leave it on when I traded it in.
