Default 2017 CVO Rear Shocks

Are the rear shocks on a 17 CVO Limited the same shock that comes on the 17 SGS but an inch longer? I thought the CVOs have a different suspension? I would like to drop the back 1" but I want to maintain the ride quality. The dealer said all of the low profile shocks are the same for 17 CVO or non CVO.

I believe your dealer is correct. If you are wanting to lower the bike because you are like me "vertically challenged" then I suggest a different pair of boots with taller heels because you will sacrifice your ride quality.
I had lowerd shocks on my 09 Ultra took them off after a couple months, they would bottom out too much especially riding 2 up with them being pumped up to 50 psi

I have progressive 944 With HD springs and just love the ride and shock height is
one inch lower . Four turns of pre load and leave it solo or two up.

Rear shocks on my street Glide CVO are part numbers 54000096 (left) and 54000114(right).. On your limited 54000094(left) and 54000093(right). So they are definitely different. I don't see any descriptions or specs unfortunately.

The CVO street glide are 12" shocks, the CVO Limited are 13" shocks
