Default Bigger Amps?

Is this correct, the '17 CVOs now have 2)300w amps vs 2)150w amps?
I haven't seen that mentioned in all the discussion but when comparing specs between '16 and '17CVOs it shows the larger amps. Can anyone confirm this? If so, are the speakers better now too?

'15 CVO Street Glide was the year they started with the BOOM ll that is two 300 watt amps driving essentially four speakers. Each Speaker location is a bass speaker unit w a Mid/Tweeter mounted on top. 150 watts to the bass unit and 150 to the Mid/Tweeter. they essentially refer to it as a 600 watt system.

So when the Specs for the '16 says 75W/speaker and the '17s are advertised as 150W/speaker, it really the same with just a little creative marketing? Was hoping they upped the amps and a bit better speaker. As I am now, I have the middle level speakers in bat wing only and no amp and am just fine. Thanks

I just picked up my '17 cvo streetglide last night. Spent a fair amount of time with the service manger going over the infotainment system( new to me, last one was '13 cvo roasting)There is 1 2x150 amp driving the front speakers and a separate 2x150 amp driving the rear lid speakers. There is an upgrade kit that adds speakers in the lowers, with an additionional 2x150 amp. From the factory, 600 watts total upgradable to 900watts. Sounds way better than either of the systems I had in my '11 or '13. Clear, crisp and almost no distortion until you hit "11" on the volume dial
