2016 CVO RG ultra
Just bought one the other day. Started (after a layoff during my kids formative years, they are all grown up now) on a 07 ultra. Road that 2.5 years, putting on over 20K. Then bought a 2012 CVO SG, had that 1.5 years and put on 13K miles.
Between the 2 I rode the dragon, to sturgis, BB every year. A lot of "fun" cornering. I drug the **** out of the 07 several times, where I had to back off big time with the wife on the back. Same thing on the street glide around sturgis.
Enter the RG. And maybe I'm crazy, or maybe the RG is just the perfect MC for me, but I've taken the majority of the local curvy roads in the past few days, that I would have slowed down for, or questioned, at just about any speed that I wanted, and never even questioned it. Hell I was smiling for an hour straight the other night with the wife on the back, banking, and never an uncomfortable feeling. This MC handles like a beast, best suspension I have ever felt, and amazing braking.
So, needless to say, I'm so glad I'll be broke for the next several years. I'm going to continue to have a blast on this CVO, and so will my wife as she wanted a tour pak again so she can sleep on the road if she gets tired. She even loves the stock seat, which I have to agree is amazing for a CVO. I had a hammock seat on the SG, and this seat makes that feel like a rock.
Gail's Harley made the deal right, and I hardly ever hear those words about any dealer in this area.
So, I'm a kid in the candy store right now, and I'm thrilled. Hell, even the boom2 audio is better than I expected. The only thing I was disappointed with was the XM quality on most of the music channels. I'll cancel after the trial, and use my phone for the rest. Problem solved.

Welcome to the shark family. I bought my 2016 CVO RGU 12/24/15 and never test rode it. I was not disappointed!! Traded a 2014 Limited so I knew the bikes road and stopped great. Just took a while to get use to the fixed fairing.. Now people say they wish they bought a RG. Ride safe, and welcome again..

I am thinking about trading in my 2012 limited on a 2016 Road Glide CVO. Haven't ridden one so how does the fairing compare to my bat wing?

A lot less buffeting when riding, I've found it a more manoeuvrable without the weight of the batwing even though it's a heavier bike.

Good to hear. I traded my 2012 FLHTK in on the Road Glide CVO. So what is a good seat to get that moves me more to the back to give me more room? I have a mustang seat that I had on my Limited but the texture does not match the tourpack backrest.
