Default upgrading 2012 CVO motor

Looking at adding these enhancements to wake up the 110. not going bigger just adding more performance around the existing CI.

MVA heads
10.5 pistons
SE-585 cams
58mm TB
high flow injectors

Looking to get about 105hp and 125 tq

Thoughts are welcome

if you going with new pistons, have you thought about going to 113". I believe it would require boring the jugs by 0.060". I believe the big difference is that boring ensures the jugs are true as we all know HD's tolerances are quite high.

Instead of MVA heads, you should consider having your heads done a reputable head porter.

Have look over at cvoharley. Much more info over there and many good builders with lots of 110" motor experience.

Better value would be the new 117" kit Harley has out and install time should be about the same as your suggested mods.

Talk to your dealer.

Thanks guys... Keeping it a 110. actually got new jugs also.. Spoke to the Dealer about the 117 and they did not have very positive words on that build. out of round cylinders and thin walls was a concern.
Also.. I know it seems odd but I really want to keep a 110.
I was even hoping to keep the badges the same on the heads but the MVAs are have different fin design than the CVO heads. go figure.

I'm running the MVA heads. If I had it to do over again, I'd go with working over the stockers. Just think there's more to be had if your builder tailors them to your cams/pistons..

your wasting money on the MVA's. Have your stock ones massaged a bit for a lot less $$ than the MVA's

A 110" powerplant can run VERY well.

To Original post, GMR in Texas just posted one very similar to your spec he built and tuned. Might take a look and talk to Steve. The 113 and 117 probably have more potential but this looked like a very fun ride. Most of the mainstream builders probably have a similar spec build they can do. Don't see many that like the 585 cam.

As mentioned above I'd skip the MVA heads and rework your stockers. You will get much more bang for your buck. Ask me how I know.

I know what I would do if I were in your boots.

Oops, meant what I did!
