The write up say the seat is designed for long haul on the ultra SE, what is the real
story for those of you that ride futher than 400 miles? I for one do not feel the right
padding is on this seat for touring. any thoughts?

I went from a victory with a mustang seat to the 07 FLHTCUSE2. I do long rides and have no problem with it at all. Just gotta get rid of my oil leaks!

 

Just returned from a 2500 mile road trip on my 07 SE Ulra. I purchased a Saddleman gelpad, it provided alot more comfort. It is covered in shepskin, the gelpad is about 1" thick, the pad fills most of the area of the driver seat, I just pick it up and put in the tour pack when not in use. I paid $108 for the pad.

The SE seat is not as comfortable as the stock touring seat on the standard Ultra. It is designed more for looks.

I wish Harly had used a gel insert in our seats. The stuff really works.

I had the same seat on my Road King and I was glad that the new one already had it. I personally think it's a great seat. IMO
