Default 2013 CVO Road King

I just bought a 2013 CVO Road King with 2100 miles on it.
I Love it.......but it sounds like a Honda...
I've read a lot on here about removing cats, baffles etc....

I would like to know if there are any issues with removing the cat in this bike with the 110 Motor?

Any help is appreciated.

The only issue you will run into is that you'll need to purchase a fuel management tuner once the cat is removed or the bike will run dangerously lean and burn the motor up.

some de-cat the head pipe, but often don't like the results. Do it right and go with a complete exhaust system (head pipe and mufflers) and you will need a fuel management system (Power Commander PC-V or TTS).

If you want to keep the stock look of both head pipe and mufflers, give Steve a call at Fullsac http://fullsac.com/ They have headpipes that use the factory heatshield and also baffles that you use in your stock mufflers. He sells TTS and can provide you a canned map on the TTS. While a custom dyno tune is always better, the canned maps are usually pretty close.

Fuel Moto http://www.fuelmotousa.com/ also makes a headpipe that uses the stock heat shields and have a large selection of mufflers. They sell PC-V fuel management system and will also give you a canned map.

My suggestion is that you should find a good local dyno tuner and find out that tuner they prefer to work with (TTS, PC-V, etc) and use that product so that you can take it to them if you wish to have a custom dyno tune.

Also, with the new headpipe and a fuel management system set properly you will gain a little power and also greatly reduce the heat.

Okay so when I was at the HD service department and I was looking into options about wanting the bike to run a little cooler what would the do. It was recommended that I replace the headpipe since (V&H true duals) I was not concerned in making it louder. Since the CVO came with a 4" exhaust no programming would be needed since they said the CVO had the map in it for this mod. So I did not replace the stock mufflers.
I originally though this sounded odd but thought why would the service department not recommend the tuner and dyno also?

So is the set up I'm running to lean with only the head pipe replaced on the 14 CVO Road King?

I have 3-1/2" pipes on the bike, like the look, but want to remove the baffles and replace with some nice sounding ones.

Any recommendations?

Thanks
