2011 CVO RGU audio
Hey guys - I posted this in the audio section with no reply. Just looking to get some repsonce from the CVO family.
I just picked up a garage queen 2011 CVO Road Glide, 3200 miles on it. I know the speakers that are stock on the CVO are suppose to be better then than a non CVO models, but.... Should I bump the Speakers to a pair of 6.5 while I have everything apart at the dealer - or are the CVO stock speakers good enough.... I want to be able to hear them clear and loud when at highway speeds....
I have done a bunch of research, and I see that there is a huge difference from stock 5 1/4 to 6.5 Biketronic or other brands. I am just looking to see if anyone has experience with the stock CVO 5 1/4 compared to pair of 6.5.
My gut tells me that there will still be a HUGE difference, even from the CVO "upgraded" stock speakers.

I've been down most audio roads with this or have riding buddies who have. I've seen hawgwired setups, hog tunes, boom audio, biketronics etc. Here is my two cents: If you want great audio, you have to change the speakers and amps at the minimum to high quality stuff and it will cost money. I use focal speakers and a pair of higher quality will easily run $500. If you are not mechanically/electrically inclined (mounting, wiring, matching ohms/amp impedances/adjusting gain etc), deal with someone like Soundz Customz.
If you want better sound than you have but don't have to have great audio, Hawgwired stuff is pretty good. I heard the newest Harley audio stuff at their tent at the Daytona Speedway and its still pretty poor compared to a quality system.

Thank you - that's what I was looking to hear, sound like it's time to shop audio.
Focal, BT, and a million other setups are discussed here pretty hard. I need to get out and hear a few different setups to decide which way to go. This is going to be my focus at Laconia this year I guess - to find / hear the right setup.
My plan is to do it once and do it right.
