That looked ugly. Otherwise it sounds like you had a great time. We just did Sturgis for the first time too and in similar fashion. Trailered out there in just over two days, rode Sat through Fri. Great time riding - great time being with friends - memories for a lifetime Your pics make me want to go back. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures.

I got caught in that same storm Tuesday on 385 N heading to Deadwood. Not fun.

Looks like a great time, except for Tuesday. I've done a lot of rain but haven't had the pleasure of riding in hail yet.

I have ridden all over this great country. The Black hills are unique with the monuments, Needles hiway and iron Mountain road plus the opportunity to ride with the buffalo. I want to go back but not next year. The roads were pleasantly open with little traffic due to what "they" say was a light turn out for the rally.
I ride with a helmet, for many reasons( safety, radio and go pro) as well as being an motocrosser from way back. After seeing the damage from the hail( and rain for that matter) I will continue to ride with a helmet!
thanks for looking, i will try to post some more as i have literally hundreds of photos
