Default Glacier NP-Mt Ranier- Seaside OR area

Thinking about changing things up and hitting these areas. Any must see/ride along the way. I want to camp somewhere beach side on the Pacific somewhere near Seaside OR.

Anyone have any knowledge of this area?

I live in Portland, so there is a lot to see. As for Seaside, the beach is long and straight from Astoria down to Seaside. The area is pretty developed and the road, US101 does not afford any ocean views. The biggest park is up at Ft Stevens at the mouth of the Columbia. South of Seaside (Cannon Beach to Mazanita) goes up through the headlands (twisty road and great view). Manzanita State Pk is also great as is Manzanita.

It all depends on what you want to see and do.

We did all those last summer as well, camped most of the way. When we got to the Redwoods Ca KOA to spend the night they were completely booked so for the seaside you might want to reserve.

Heres our trip.

This summer were still in NH/VT, did Mount Washington yesterday!

Thanks for the insight! I just kinda picked Seaside as it was on the ocean.

Mt Washington is a blast for sure!

I just reread your ride report and that was one awesome trip. It sucks living this far East as it takes 3-4 days to get to the cool stuff out west. I've changed my plan numerous times adding places and removing others. I'll just see where I end up.

9 more days until I hit the road!!!
