Suggestions on campgrounds near the HD Museum ?
I'll be passing through Milwaukee on my way west this July. I'm thinking about slowing down a bit and attending the "Wild Ones Weekend" at the HD Museum . Can anyone recommend a biker- friendly campground that's relatively close to the museum ? I'll be tenting .

Sorry about the terse ness , I'm on a roadtrip In houston and I had a list of todos that my sister gave me. Along with a 3 hole oil change
The pinewood campground is at the northeast end of the kettle Morraine state forest southern unit. I have never stayed there but we walk through it on the ice age trail and I rode through it about a year ago scouting it out for something I don't remember. The closet intersection that is easy to find in google maps is highway 67 and ZZ. Go east to the next road north, go north , it's on left. I'll get better directions.
The campground is nice, lots of trees except in the group camp sites. Gentle rolling hills and it seemed clean. Each campground loop had bathrooms with showers. I seem to remember electricity in the campsites. The web site mention checkin was at Ottawa lake campsite, I'll try and scope that out for you over the 4th.
There is also a state park adjacent to the city of lake geneva, big foot beach. I think it ends up being 10-20 miles further from Milwaukee. Whitewater lake also has a camp ground, I think part of the kettle Morraine state forest , I think it is similar to the pinewoods but 10 miles further and more heavily used. I should mention that kettle has great riding roads, just don't over bake the corners.
The is a bar, I think knuckleheads, in eagle. The parking lot is always full of bikes. In southeast wi there is a bar in every country corner with a harley in front all summer. Night life is in lake geneva
There are a few places near by for wasting time looking at history, I'll get info if anyone is interested. My favorite near the pinewoods area is the southwestern edge of the Niagara escarpment, ya like Niagara Falls, other end.
FWIW anyone passing by, get my number ( pm or message me - I have never figured that out) if you need help I'll help
